Operations
You will come to the consultation room in Malmö or the clinic in Landskrona for a consultation prior to all operations.
Here, you will go through the requirements of the desired operation and see whether your expectations concur with what we can achieve through an operation. An appointment for the operation can be booked immediately once the consultation has ended.
The waiting time for operations varies but is usually from four to six weeks.
On the day of the operation you will be registered and admitted, settle up the financial side of things and be given your room. After this you will shower in bactericidal soap and be given a sedative. Your doctor will then come to collect you to be photographed and to plan the operation.
The majority of operations are carried out under a general anaesthetic and we have very experienced anaesthetists and nurses who attend to these general anaesthetics.
Often, you will spend the night at the clinic for maximum safety.
The morning after the operation, you will be discharged by your doctor, receive pain relief and a medical certificate and an appointment for a check-up before going home.
