Aethoxysklerol

Superficial blood vessels respond well to treatment with a substance called Aethoxysklerol.

The substance is injected into the vessel with an extremely fine needle and then we press on the vessel for a short while. The walls of the vessel then stick to each other and the blood can no longer pass through the vessel.

Following treatment, the skin is discoloured and this usually remains for 4-6 weeks.

Depending on how many superficial blood vessels there are, it may be necessary to repeat the treatment two or three times, at four-weekly intervals.

Afterwards, you can go back to work straight away and the treatment is usually not seen as painful.
