Forehead lifting

Sunken eyebrows, vertical deep folds in the forehead and wrinkles between the eyes can be relieved through forehead lifting. The procedure is carried out under a light general anaesthetic and a local anaesthetic and takes about one and a half hours. We do not consider an overnight stay necessary.

Through two short incisions in the temple area, either at the hairline or often a few centimetres within the hairline, the skin and muscles are loosened, stretched backwards and placed at a higher level, raising the eyebrows and smoothing out the folds.

Some swelling occurs for a few days after the operation, but otherwise the procedure is relatively free of any inconvenience. The stitches are removed after two weeks, which may also be an appropriate period for being off work sick.
