Once you have finally decided to have plastic surgery, it will be important to choose a professional doctor and a clinic with a good reputation.
Why not ask yourself a few check questions before making your decision!
1. The clinic must have a professional feel to it. There must, for example, be hospital-equipped beds so that you don’t need to go home on the day of a major operation.
2. It is important to check that the doctor you have chosen really is a qualified plastic surgeon.
3. Check and ask about membership of the Swedish Plastic Surgery Society and Swedish Society for Cosmetic Plastic Surgery.
4. Why not consult at least two plastic surgeons so you can compare them? It is a good thing if the doctor himself can recommend another surgeon for your second consultation.
5. The doctor you choose should work full-time in cosmetic plastic surgery and should be available whenever you need him, even after the operation.
6. Personal chemistry is important – things should feel right during your meeting with your doctor. You should also have the right to choose and influence the operation yourself to some extent.
