Blood vessel treatment with YAG laser
Treats the blood vessels on the legs such as “spider veins”, varicose veins and other skin problems. Does not require any convalescence period and the patient can return to work or other social activities immediately after treatment.
The laser light passes through the surface of the skin and the blood vessels are pulled together by the heat produced by the laser light. The laser treatment feels like warm pricks to the skin and you do not need any anaesthetic. There are no sores in the skin and you can swim and sunbathe afterwards. As a general rule, it takes a month or so before you can see that the blood vessels have disappeared and, during this time, there may be some redness or a yellowish-brown stripe along the blood vessel.
As the laser light can damage the eyes, it is important that both you and we use special protective goggles during the treatment. No other risks have been found in this treatment so far.
