Tattoo removal
We use Laser to fade your Tattoo away. We use an O-switched YAG laser. This is the most effective and safe equipment available to remove your Tattoo. The Light Pulse is so short and intensive that only the tattoo pigment is affected and not the natural pigment in your skin, meaning that the risk of scarring is extremely minimal.
Does the tattoo disappear entirely?
Most tattoos disappear entirely but a few do, however, leave either a faint shadow or remnants of the pigment even after several treatments. The removal of tattoos is a well-documented and well-tested method.
How many treatments are required?
The number of treatments required depends on how long the tattoo has been there, the number of colours and how deep it is.
It is impossible to say in advance how many treatments will be required. This may vary between four and eight treatments. The treatments are carried out at roughly two-monthly intervals.
The result of a treatment may vary from person to person and the different parts of the body a tattoo is located on. We cannot promise in individual cases that your tattoo will completely disappear.
Is there scarring afterwards?
There is a very slight risk of scar formation. The actual pinpricks during tattooing may, however, have left marks that may become visible when the tattoo disappears. The removal of tattoos on coloured skin also has good results.
What happens during the treatment?
We hold the laser gun like a pen against the skin. The light is emitted in rapid pulses and we move the gun along your tattoo. Usually no anaesthetic is required. You will feel as if your skin is being prodded and you will hear a rattling sound.
Both you and we will use special goggles.
After the treatment
The treated area may be red and inflamed for the first week. It is by no means certain that the skin will become red and the treatment will be no less effective for this.
